Kin Third-Party License

Kin’s Third-Party License gives permission for other creators to design materials and draw inspiration from the world of Kin.

Content

  1. If you adhere to these terms you are allowed to publish free or commercial products in connection to Kin without express permission from me, Victoria Corva.

  2. Art and text from any Kin materials (including both the base game and any supplemental materials) cannot be reused or translated without my, Victoria Corva’s, express permission.

  3. You can use any of the names or terms within Kin’s world, including (but not limited to) Planarkin, Ferymar, Sealorn, the names of locations, etc.

  4. The mechanics and game rules of Kin may be reused and referenced freely. You may also freely use ‘game mechanical sentences’ — such as ‘queue for action mode’, ‘this proficiency can be taken multiple times’, etc.

  5. I, Victoria Corva, reserve the right to disavow your product and revoke access to this license. For example, and without limitation, I will disavow your product and revoke access to this license if I determine that your product contains content that is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or in any other way hurtful towards marginalized identities and experiences.

Branding

  1. You are not allowed to give the impression that your product is an official Kin product or that I, Victoria Corva, sponsor you in any way without my express permission.

  2. Your product must include the term ‘Kin Independent Content’ in its branding.

Legal

  1. I, Victoria Corva, am not responsible for any legal claims against your product.

  2. Any legal disputes, controversies or claims related to this license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UK and settled in a court in the UK.

  3. Both following bits of text must appear somewhere visible in the product, and on any website or storefront where you promote the product. If the product is not written (a painting, a soundtrack, etc.) then the text must appear in the description of the product on any storefront.
